I was hoping to use my new EQ mount last night, but by the time I got it set up the clouds rolled in (ain't that always the way it goes?). I decided to take my camera out on the fixed tripod for some simple winter nighttime scenes. I went out again in the morning and saw crescent Venus rising before the sun to the East.
